![]() Let’s just say, I was a goner when it came to him. I loved reading about him and watching his layers peel away like an onion. He will drop anything that he is doing if you called and said you needed help. ![]() If you happen to be blessed to be in his circle, you will be well loved and taken care of. He is completely independent and hardworking, but most importantly, he has a heart of gold. Maverick is a non-conformist, who is absolutely in love with his sister and is willing to do anything to take care of her and watch over her. A total paradox to all those ‘jocks’ out there that fall into an ‘athlete’ stereotype. The way she was written, it makes you think, ‘hey, it’s ok if I’m not one of the popular kids with the latest fashion, accessories, cars or perfect hair’. She loves Star Wars, making her own clothes, baking and cats. My favorite is Maverick, although I absolutely adored Delaney.ĭelaney is the slightly off-kilter, nerdy girl, who doesn’t give a rat’s patootie, what people think of her. Incredibly touching and emotional, scenarios that are real to life and well researched material concerning some of her storyline. ![]() ![]() Oh, sorry, I was just wiping up the drool after thinking of Maverick and the cover! □□ In all seriousness, Ilsa has flipping hit it out of the park on this one. Have you SEEN the cover? Total and complete cover porn here, Day-um! ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() Woven in and around the breakneck adventure is the provocative notion that words, and the meanings they carry, are plastic and ever susceptible to change. Fenoglio, the author of the fictional Inkheart, takes on a tragic role, as he sees his godlike idyll threatened when his words and characters take on lives of their own. The metaliterary musings begun in the previous title become grander here, as each character grapples with the possibility of challenging the fate that has been written. ![]() Dustfinger is ecstatic to be back home after his long exile Meggie is thrilled to explore the story that has seduced her with its beauty Mo and Resa want only to bring their daughter Meggie back. One year after the events of Inkheart (2003), one by one, the characters find themselves read from the real world into the Inkworld. ![]() ![]() The second in a new laugh-out-loud and sparky teen series, perfect for fans of Holly Bourne and Louise Rennison. I would go so far as to say that this is the ultimate self-care poetry collection. And Wild Embers brought just that to the table. ![]() I recently came to the realization, after some much-needed trial and error with multiple poetry collections, than I enjoy my poems focused more on self-love over romantic love. But Nikita Gill had me pleasantly surprised with this follow-up book. ![]() I went into this not knowing what to expect from the author, especially after feeling a bit disconnected with the writing in Your Soul is a River. Wild Embers explores the fire that lies within every soul, weaving words around ideas of feeling at home in your own skin, allowing yourself to heal, and learning to embrace your uniqueness with love from the universe.įeaturing rewritten fairytale heroines, goddess wisdom, and poetry that burns with revolution, this collection is an explosion of femininity, empowerment, and personal growth. ![]() |
